Art Consultants and Restorers

London, Established 1975, Fellow of the BAPCR

CURATE

We can advise, supply and curate collections of all kinds of art.  From interior design to investment portfolios.  We source artwork from our growing selection of "in-house" artists, or from our extensive network of dealers and galleries that can obtain any artwork from old masters to large scale modern architectural sculpture.

RESTORE

We are well established and long experienced art restorers and conservers specialising in oil paintings, but we pride ourselves in finding solutions to unusual and difficult restorations of all kinds.  We also work together with other specialist restorers to provide every solution.

PRESENT

Once your artwork has been selected we can find presentation and installation solutions.  From simple framing or mounting to sculpture stands and unusual hand-made frames.  As well as our own constructions we work with several top framers and art logistics firms in London to deliver on every requirement.

LORENZO QUINN

"Baby 3.0" suspended over amethyst crystal bed

Originally hand carved in marble by Lorenzo this state of the art 3d printout has been further strengthened and coloured by John Jacobs Studio as well as suspended over this crystal bed.

It also encapsulates a new technology that links this artwork to an NFT thereby ensuring its authenticity.

This technology is unique and groundbreaking and this in itself makes this artwork historic.  A small NFC microchip has been embedded into the sculpture that can be scanned by a mobile phone and cryptographically links to the ownership details on an NFT.

This artwork is also controversial as we have seemingly added a microchip to a baby! But this technology is truly decentralised and represents a new freedom for humanity, rather than a centralised control of humanity!

FENG SHUI and ART
We can find the right artworks to optimise the Energy or Vibe of any space.  Artworks are unique objects that have a great deal of energy put into them.  They speak to the subconscious mind and can create powerful feelings in the viewer.  The right artworks in the right space can have an incredible effect, especially when they are fine-tuned for a specific purpose.  For example the right piece hanging in a corporate boardroom will reinforce the vision of that company and empower the team to make their best decisions and business deals!  This is how Feng Shui can help clear the pathway to success and abundance and why big corporations in the Far East take this very seriously.  Do give us a call to discuss your project!

Toby Jacobs

Structural conservation and restoration, picture lining, bespoke framing and installation.

Toby is the son of John Jacobs (1940 - 2016) who founded the Studio in 1975.  Toby studied a Bsc in Physics at Imperial College, London.  He joined the studio officially after university in the mid 90's.  Over many years he learned his father's techniques and in later years he further developed and refined them.  Structural restoration is often a unique problem-solving skill and Toby prides himself on finding solutions for very difficult cases that other studios have rejected as impossible.  Learn more about John Jacobs here.  Learn more about the specialist techniques invented by John and developed by Toby on our studio page.  See Toby's personal artwork here.
